#SixtyBooks or #Read16in16, whichever comes last

#SixtyBooksWhen #SixtyBooks appeared in my Twitter feed, I dismissed it. Usually, I politely decline joining these organized efforts and do my own thing. But then I read the NY Times article “Bedtime Reading, Written by a Robot Just for You,” and the author’s claim, “printed books have not evolved much as a creative medium” actually angered me. After a few tweets arguing against the claim, I resolved to read sixty books in 2016.

As I read,
I’ll blog about the book using the #SixtyBooks and #Read16in16. Each post will be both reflection and some information and ideas for teaching or sharing. You can find the #SixtyBooks site here and sign up. Don’t miss tweets and discussions in Goodreads
as well.
